CONFERENCE SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES:
Effective Radioactive Transportation forms a major pillar of nuclear power and radioisotope movement. It enables shipments of material to reach their destination without risk, without delay and without excessive cost. The relative requirements of security & safety drive discussion and perception. Regulatory developments continue to indicate a commitment to harmonisation...
...Ongoing concerns in safety & security, coupled with developments in legislation, point towards the need for a focussed meeting to bring stakeholders together to share how operations have affected experience, discuss how best practice can overcome challenge and debate recent developments in regulation.
Conference focus will be achieved through an international line-up of speakers, who will provide perspectives on stakeholder experience, legislative impact and the ongoing challenge towards sustaining harmonious, secure and safe radioactive transportation.
Participants will join a Roundtable Discussion Forum that will report back to the main plenary. This forum will provide an ideal environment to create new avenues for cooperation and exchange. End of session discussion panels will provide additional opportunity to explore the key issues raised during the presentations and allow full audience participation.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
This event will be of particular interest to representatives from the global nuclear industry, national nuclear regulatory organisations and representatives from government departments of environment, foreign affairs health protection, trade and local government.
